Just a few weeks, and frighteningly, it's hard to imagine life before it!
I enjoy reading lots of the questions and answers and often spend time looking over interesting things, even when I'm not actually answering them.
There are certain people whose profiles I like to follow up on, read all their questions and answers, and very soon they feel like friends, though they probably don't know this.
I feel such a connection to the people whose questions I answer, and think about them for days afterwards. Often I'll wake up thinking of them and wondering how they're getting on.
When my family's out the door and I've got the house and all my little jobs in order, I have my free time, and I feel my heart beat a little faster as I switch on the computer.
And, if I get chosen as a Best Answer ... well ... I feel such a rush of pride! It's like the 'pat on the back' idea that I so long for in my everyday life. I don't actually physically do the "victory dance", well, not consciously anyway, but in my mind ... such elation!
When I ask a question and people take the time to respond and help me out, wow, such gratitude I feel towards them. It really means a lot to me.
Reading over my answer, it strikes me that I must sound like such an addict, but you so wouldn't know this if you were to meet me. I do actually have a wonderful, full life outside of yahoo answers, and I do limit my time on the computer, because keeping house and organising meals for my family of 6 is very important to me.
Yahoo answers is my only vice, and such a weakness it is.

I joined Y!A on December 22, 2006. It's nearly my 'anniversary' here ... I haven't looked at the date in months, so it's kind of 'odd' that your question had me look. Thanks for the nice 'reminder' ... I love coming to Y!A. I'm a retired psychologist, and my husband works, so I come here and answer all kinds of questions every day during 'breaks' in my housework and other stuff like reading. I'm now a level 7, and that's not a bad thing, since I can't go any 'higher' ... hmm, maybe I'll get some sushi for lunch that day to 'celebrate' this anniversary ... l LOVE sushi, and it's fun to eat it alone (my husband introduced me to it, but doesn't like it that much himself) ...

But, since we are what keeps Y!A going, Y!A should consider itself lucky that we are part of ITS' life. Don't you agree?
