by law can i be brought into court over having a affair with this married woman who was married for.24. years and caused the marrage to end in divorce and can i be sued over it i was just.19. then is it legal now and by law can i be held lible as well

by law you can be suied by her husband it.s called alienation of affection . u might want to look it up pal it.s law like everyone has typed to you . ?

Depends on the State. In some you can be sued for "Alienation of Affection" by the injured party, that would be the husband in this case.

Actually, I suspect the biggest danger is either the husband hunts you down and beats the snot out of you or you wind up married to a woman who cheats on her husband. . .

Either, or both, would serve you right.

The offense is generally called "alienation of affection". Some states permit lawsuits for this offense; for example, as recently as 2000, a wife won a lawsuit in North Carolina. You'd have to check the laws of your specific state to find out if that offense is recognized.

the husband would have to prove that you were the reason that she left him. Which could be hard to do unless there are pics or witnesses. As far as being sued anyone can be sued for anything now a days.

I wish we could sue whoever signed your high school diploma or whoever passed you in English 101.

In many states you can be sued for alienation of affections and interference in a family structure. Hope you don't live in Maryland.
