Solar Eclipse and lunar Eclipse:
Eclipse differ fron planet to planet. All the planets which has moon will have eclipse each year (may be solar and lunar or both). Some planets like Jupiter, saturn, Uranus has More then two moons. So, these planets have large number of eclipses each year.
Ok now we consider our home earth. Eclipse occur when three bodies are in same lane. First solar eclipse, When moon came in between sun and earth we will have solar eclipse. The moons shadow will spread on earth when it came between sun and earth. The shadowy region is called Umbra. It's shadow will spread to 180 km on earth.
Lunar eclipse, When earth came between Moon and sun it is called Lunar eclipse.
