Because he couldn't get elected mayor in NYC these days. How can you support a candidate who doesn't have the support of his own people? He also wouldn't get a majority of votes of NYC firefighters, police or EMTs.

Rudy Giuliani is the most morally bankrupt individual running... I would vote for ANYONE over him..

Giuliani has been embroiled in scandals, his 9/11 record is blotched.. just ask the firefighters that blame him for the defective radios, that he was warned about, which resulted in over 242 deaths...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17869046/

He later claimed that he spend just as much time as workers on ground zero, and didn't offer any kind of sympathy for the fact that they are suffering from illnesses, It was later found that he only spend 29 hours on ground zero, less then the time he spend at Yankee Stadium..

Then he was warned in 1993, after the first world trade center attacks to move the security office from the seventh floor out of the building in case of an emergency.. of course he didn't listen and look at the results..

He won't sign a pledge confirming lower taxes

And New York City’s crime rate being down attributes to police Commissioner Bill Bratton, Rudy had nothing to do with it.. “Bratton, not Giuliani, was featured on the cover of Time Magazine in 1996.[54] Giuliani forced Bratton out of his position after two years, in what was generally seen as a battle of two large egos in which Giuliani was unable to accept Bratton's celebrity”

His co-chair has been quoted as labeling "blacks retarded," not to mention that Giuliani's main sponsors have been caught in money fraud, drug/prostitution scandals, and child molestation

Don't forget when Rudy was mayor he was already accused of racial profiling, and not even reading the 9/11 commission report

Contrary to popular belief he does not support gay marriage, only civil unions!

Rudy will privatize social security.

He has been married three times, including once to his cousin, and his own children won't even speak to him, his daughter plans to vote for someone else..

His solution is to the failing public school system is not doing anything at all. He wants to leave the option open for parents to chose public or private schools, but most middle-class Americans, cannot afford to go to private school. Instead of letting the system fail, why not improve it, our tax dollars are already paying for it!

I would rather have Bush remain in office than have Giuliani as president. His answer to everything is how tough he was on crime in NY. Give me a break. On 911 he was running away from the towers rather than being a leader and helping out. After the first attack on the WTC you would think they would have had an evacuation plan. Why not? Why couldn't they communicate with each other?

He is running as a Republican, but believes as a Democrat. I always get annoyed when people do this. So far we have had George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush both serving as Republicans, but governing as Democrats. We don't need another.

Well, for one he's pro choice and pro gay rights. Also, he doesn't have a very good personal life. He's gone through several nasty divorces and his kids won't even talk to him, which says something about his character.

He is a centrist. He doesn't take stands on issues i care about in my voting, such as abortion. He says it is "okay," not "bad" nor "acceptable."
Centrist views bother many people, because they see a centrist as a person who is unwilling to take a side.
