because
answer one is wrong because higher wave length is less energy
Answer 3 is wrong because you have more photons hitting. but photons at low energy will not be sufficent. Kinda llike takeing allot of soft jabs verse one knock out punch.

Answer 2 is correct because it the high frequency of lite will contain more energized photons to know an electron loose.
Look up "mass Spectrometry" you will get good information and a better explaination.
I am very dislexic but I know what I am talking about.

Energy is quantized so increasing wavelength have no effect , while increasing frequency associated with increase in photon energy that will be trasmitted to electron upon collision
