i have a linksys card 2.4 ghz i cant connect to unsecure signal?

Question

i have a compaq presario desktop and Im trying to use a linksys card plugged into my usb port. 2.4 ghz. i can find 2 unsecure signals 1 at 50%(motormorgan) and 1 at 85% strength(UNSpaceynet). and also 1 secure.(2wire856) On the 2 that says unsecure, it tells me I have a connection/ When I try to log on to either one, it then tells me i dont have a connection. I tried with internet explorer and AOL. with no luck. any one have any suggestions

Hi. The signals can be unsecured but still block all but allowed MAC addresses. My guess.
