Things like the house settling, which is completely normal. When a house settles the foundations move a little and a cupboard door might be left slightly ajar.

Acutually that would be my bedroom windows, pigeons have nested in the cornered decor on the outside of the house.. they slam right into the windows, then fly to the corner :o I am use to it now! The first time though it scared the life out of me!!
