If you are talking to a guy, and you are thinking of saying something which conflicts with his suggestion, but don't say it....however, he somehow notices it and says "there is a but on your lips".... is he flirting or paying too much attention?

It just means he was actually listening and paying attention to your response and noticed you looked like you were going to say something.

He is paying attention and noticed that you wanted to say something.

It doesn't necessarily mean he's flirting. And it doesn't have to mean he's paying "too much" attention... Some people are just really good at reading body language.

he's not flirting,he's listening to what you have to say & obviously there's more, that's where the "but" comes into it.
