eric clapton has played with many artists live and on recordings, but wasnt exactly a "band member" but more a guest with Buddy Guy, BB King, Ashton, Gardner & Dyke , Plastic Ono Band, George Harrison, etc, he was a member of Blind Faith, Cream, Yardbirds, Derek & The Dominoes, & John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, he also did short stints with JJ Cale and Delaney, Bonnie & Friends. Its safe to say, he has gotten around. I adore him, he is one of the greatest guitarists of our time.
