know since the router is 10/100Mbps and the switch is 10/100/1000Mbps does that mean i will get 1000Mbps to all the things i have hooked up to the switch or just 100 because of the router

The connection from your Router to switch will run at 100mp/s. If you have a 1000mp/s Network Interface connected to the switch then that connection will be 1000mp/s.

To answer your question,
YES you will get 1000mp/s if the device connected to the switch is capable of it. This can be referred to as Auto-Negotiation which just about all networking components support.

Hi. Only the maximum speed available through that connection will work. Usually 100 Mbps. That router (I have one) will support the 'G' spec, which is 54 Mbps.

The overall speed would be limited by the router, therefore you would achieve 100Mbps maxmum.
