I love Nintendo games (The Zelda and Paper Mario series), but I am an adult and want to play R rated games too. I currently own a Gamecube and want to get into Role Playing games and Zelda type adventure games. Should I go for a PS3 or just a PS2 or XBox? Or should I just buy a better computer and play PC games?

If you want a good selection of RPGs and action games that are reasonably priced, I'd go with the PS2. The PS2 has a great selection of games and you can find them really cheap right now (the console and the games). I'll recommend some games for you:
RPGs:
Final Fantasy X and XII
Dragon Quest VIII - Journey of the Cursed King
Dark Cloud 2
Star Ocean - Till the End of Time
Action:
God of War 1 and 2
Devil May Cry 3
Shadow of the Colossus
Resident Evil 4

buy a ps2 and an xbox there are loads of great series out there for these to systems that will take you a few years to beat. theres no point in paying alot of money for some new game system if you havent played the greatest hit kinda games
unless your a douche bag and super care about high definition

I'd say get an XBOX360. It's your best bet.
It's got good games, good graphics, freedom, Online playing, Backwards compatibility, DVD Playback, wireless ability, EVERYTHING!
A Wii is very fun, those last games that are coming out are REALLY good.
A PS3...well...it's got very nice graphics and all...but...there's no REVOLUTION in gaming when buying it. You'd just feel normal.
Although remember there's nothing wrong with getting 1, 2, or even the 3 of them.
If you are getting 1, I'd recommend the XBOX360.
If you are getting 2, I'd recommend the XBOX360 and the Wii.
PS3...is just...let's say, disappointing. $500?

Get the 360 it has the best games and online play exspecially with the big hits like Halo3,ShadowRun and Gears of Wars

ps2 n xbox is old and PS3 don't have much violent games, so i will say a better pc
