Mine call us Nana and Papa and I like it and it's easy for the toddlers to say.

I called my grand parents Granny and Poppa.

I thought it was neat when I found out their were Granny Smith Apples and I had an actual Granny Smith.

All the kids in town loved my Granny. I was so jealous when I went shopping with her and kids I didn't know ran up and hugged my Granny. She always had lemon drops for all kids in her pocket.

My Granny is my perfect person and I have always followed her example to the best of my ability.

Thanks for bringing back memories of my Granny.

We are called Grandma and Grandad by our grandchildren. When the boys were toddlers they didn't say the "r" and called us Ganma and Gandad. My parents were Grandma and Papa to our kids and Tc's dad and stepmum were Grandad and Nana.
Our youngest daughter who doesn't have any kids yet said that when she does get married and has a family she wants her (future) kids to call us Grandma and Pops.

My first grandchild started calling me "Lady" when he was still a baby, and we have no idea why. My daughter used to point at me and say, "Grandma", and he just laughed and said, "Lady". There have been some funny times with this, like the time he ran away from me at the swimming pool when he was two. I chased after him and he kept looking over at his shoulder, yelling, "Leave me alone, Lady! Leave me alone!" It attracted a lot of attention and I had to explain. He's 7 now and people still notice when they hear, "Hey, Lady!"

I'm partial to Grandma, Poppy and Nana. Can't stand MawMaw, PePay and PawPaw. But that's just me.

My grandchildren all have more than four grandparents...and before they were born a discussion was held...one said, you aren't going to have them call me grandma are you? Another said, I prefer Nana like my grandma...another said my grandma was called Nannie....I piped up and said...I'LL TAKE GRANDMA...oddly enough they each referred to some of the most loved women in their lives as grandma, but gave her a nickname...now they have one...I feel I won the prize.
