personally i think cats because they're cuter! in my opinion :]

I like cats because they are much lower maintenance and they are cuter. They are also much easier to potty train.

I like dogs better because you can actually do things with them. Like take them for a walk, play fetch, roll around, etc. Cats like to be on their own and they don't seem to do as much as a dog. For some people, that would be a positive though. The less they have to do for a pet, the better!

I like cats better. Easier to take care of and clean up after. Cleaning out the litter box on a cold day beats going outside to clean up the yard or walk the dog.

I love them both for different reasons. Dogs are so loyal and truly a companion. They are fun to take places with you. I lived on 10 acres so the going out for a "relief" walk was never an issue.
Cats are sweet and cute though (if you get lucky and get a good kitten and bring it up in a loving environment) Their snuggly purriness is absolutely fabulous.

I'd say dogs because they have more of a personality than cats...but I do like cats too.
