Not weird at all. You should have helped your self during your quarter or semester and told your parents you were struggling. That would have let them know that you are trying, but just not understanding concepts. If you just weren't trying, you're just going to have to live with your mistake and consequence.

If you failed everything because you didn't bother with school or homework then, no it's pretty fair. If you failed everything even though you tried your hardest then, yes you shouldn't be punished at all, you should get a tutor and go to summer school. My best guess is it's the first one in your case. Don't be so lazy and stupid, school is important, I'm in ninth grade and I got two C-'s, I did fall behind in work, but I worked to try and catch up. I didn't get in trouble but I'm going to try my hardest from now on, I don't only mean this year, I mean from this year until I graduate from post secondary, and I'll do my best at the job I get too. I think your punishment is fair, your parents are worried about you and your future, they know that you'll regret your decisions soon enough.

Yup cause if you can't apply yourself enough to get good grades in school ...That means you will probably drop out...and end up in a life of crime cause you can't find a job. Which will eventually result in you being in jail.......
And guess what in jail the rules are about the same
You have to stay in your room/cell 8x10
No TV/ no computer
No music
No school
No skating.
3 suck *** meals a day,,,that is unless a bigger guy takes them from you..
On the good side you don't have to study.
Oh yeah some nice jails might have one TV for like 30 guys.but trust me you don't get to pick the channel.

No. You punished yourself by failing. You'll see that all you can get by being a lazy flunky is a job at fast food that pays $7.00, and you'll wish you'd studied a bit and got at least C's so you could get into at least a tech college to learn a skill.

That's not weird at all, if you failed every subject you are not putting forth any effort to pass, this is a way to get your attention and give you no choice but to study. Way to go mom.
