Yep..... that could drive a person crazy ...... your problem might be in your faucet itself ......single lever units have nylon , vitron or rubber seats that can cause all kinds of problems when they wear.......

A "tankless coil" doesn't provide that much hot water. Typically more water is used in the shower than anywhere else. You probably get the same amount of hot water from all your fixtures. A quick, inexpensive idea is to change your shower head to a low flow type. It won't give the "pressure" you may be used to but it will allow less consumption and therefor extend the time your water will stay hot in your shower. A better solution is more costly. Install a "Boiler Mate". It is a tank with a much larger coil that runs as a separate zone off you boiler. A gas fired W/H is another way and less expensive the the latter.

If this problem only occurs at the tub spout, I would hazard a guess that the unit is under-sized for the demand. A tub spout will flow more water than other fixtures (you can find out exactly how much by filling a 5 gallon bucket & timing it). Presumably there a shower head as well. I would install a super water-saver shower head & see if the water heater is up to supplying it.

What make & model is it? The on-demand water heaters that get included with a small hot water boiler are not noted for providing a lot of GPM (gallons per minute). You can go to the mfg's website to get the specs. There may also be a tech support phone number there. You should call it to discuss your hot water dilemma with the factory rep.

It may be your mixing valve in the bath tub itself. Have a lic. plumber out to double check this. If the problem is indeed the mixer be sure to have him replace it.

considered one of your heating components are out. There could be 2 components, in the area of your tank. A proper and a backside factor. the climate run approximately $25. Drain the tank, unhook and unscrew the factor, and replace with a sparkling one.
