Being strange does not mean mysterious; my younger daughter, who is my favorite child, is very strange, but not mysterious at all, at least to me.

One may appreciate strange even when one understands it. Strange things are appreciated for being unique, not for being mysterious.

Even when one is around them so much that they are not strange to one anymore, one remembers that they are inherently strange and welcomes them for that.
