The spirit of giving to others is concentrated at this time of year and given a specific time to act. Celebrating the assumed birthday of Jesus, allowing myself the luxury of giving special gifts to those I love for no other reason than they want something, feeling a connection to the world at large and giving something to those in need all make me feel like a better human being.
