You probably mean she, but yes. Breasts develop on their own schedule. Even if she is not developing yet, there's really no reason for her not to wear one. I wouldn't get her a padded bra, but a sports bra would be fine. And if you did mean 'HE' the definitely no PADDED bra!!!

some males have gynecomastia, a condition where the male develops breast tissue...some of it can be caused by meds. In this situation I might suggest he wrap himself to hide his breasts. I can't see his going to gym & having to chance in the locker room.

If he feels this is a gender issue & he has no breasts I would say no, but I might suggest we go see a gender identity specialist.

If it's a girl & everyone else is wearing one, I'd get her a training bra.

I guess it depends on the reason.

I was about that age when I wore one plus the dress to go with it and I am male.

(Get your minds out of the gutter you perverts.)

It was a stupid kid bet and dare between some boys and girls.

I guess it will take you a long time to figure out who lost the bet.

I still say, somehow, the girls cheated.
(lol)

I'm gonna go with yes - let him do it.

Look, my children (if I ever have any) are going to be screwed up one way or another. Do I want him in therapy at the age of 30, complaining that I never let him explore himself by banning him from wearing a bra, or do I want him in therapy, complaining that I let him get away with too much? I just don't know.

Can you post a picture of the boy, so we can all get an idea of why he thinks he needs a bra? Also, I'd just like to laugh at something like that for a few minutes...please?

I wouldn't try to force my child to wear or not wear something that really doesn't matter in the first place.

Not unless there was some medical reason to do so.

Unless you got something to fill the bra up with, what's the point?

If my son wanted to wear a bra I would ask him to explain, lol. If he had a logical enough reason I would go along with it, he's my son.
