Putin makes me nervous.
The country still has control of a large stockpile of nukes and Putin is a former head of the KGB.
His policy of selling high tech war weapons or allowing them to be sold to USA enemies does create a indirect threat to USA.
I do not trust him, and don't think the USA should let down its guard while he is the leader of Russia.

No I don't think he's a threat to the USA.
I'm much more worried about Bush and the threat he poses to the rest of the world. Hopefully he can restrain himself from starting another war before he leaves office, or blowing some country to heck and back.

Based on what I've read about him, I think he's something of a thug. However, I truly believe that the guy is a bigger threat to the Russian people than to the United States. At least, at THIS point in time. Anything can happen. He may have designs on another Soviet Union or perhaps something on an even grander scale.

I think he would like to be. Once a member of the KGB, how can we trust him. We know he wants to sell technology to Iran and China, we just don't know how much of a threat he really can be considering the state of his nation today.

they are no threat to us... but they are a threat to their own people. Putin behaves more like a Russian mobster, than a leader of a country.
