but i feel that shes going through a depression right now. she has gone threw very tragic and hard things her whole life and although still in high school, she lives by her self. she does not have a dad. she is overweight and gets bad grades. she says she hates her self, school, her family, were she lives, and that shes a bad persona nd she wants to run away werwe ppl dont expect anything from her.

i want to perform some phsycological sessions with her bc i truly believe that will help.

It would benefit your friend more if she were to talk with the school counselor about her self-esteem, her teachers about her grades, and the school nurse about her weight problem. Doing all of these may provide her with the encouragement she needs. It would be difficult for you as a non-professional to help someone with the depression she is facing. Your role as a supportive friend would be the most helpful. Running away is definitely not the answer she seeks, because her problems will accompany her.

There is only one place where people don't expect anything of a person - that's in a mental institution.
Try to get her to take a self-defense class with you.

try to get her to do some volunteer work with you, you know do something together. Also help her to get in touch with her spiritual side, attend Church with her. Good luck!!
