1. For an object to rise up with an initial vertical velocity and fall back the same height, the total flight time is 1/2 the time to reach the maximum height. This is independent of the angle of launch as long as the angle is greater than 0 and less than 180 above the horizontal. So 1. is False.

2. This is also false. The time to drop is independent of the horizontal speed.
y(t)=y0+vy0*t-.5*g*t^2
in the case of dropping from a train window
y(t)=y0-.5*g*t^2
where y0 is the height of the window.
