I want to get a snake for my birthday and my mom is worried about it growing and killing my dog when it gets out of its cage. Does any one have any experience with this problem?

Pythons can easily kill a poodle. If you are going to get a snake, doesn't matter what type, then you are going to have to make sure the snake cannot get out of its cage as this will cause problems for the snakes (not being in the right type of inviornment) or for other pets/people in the house and you could quite possibly loose it forever.

Dude get a corn snake if you really want a snake, They stay small and don't bite- Very Low Maintains and love to be played with.

And the only thing that will happen if it gets loose and runs into the dog is that the dog will Polly kill him.

yes it can kill the dog or you. All it has to do is get around the neck of it's prey.
