i've posted a similar question before about this. i was making myself throw up for about a week, a month or so ago. now i have started it again. it really has become addicting. i have thrown up 4 times just today. and my dad actually heard me the 4th time, and confronted me about it. i know it has become a problem. usually i only did it when i felt fat. but now its become a routine, and i binge, then i throw it up. do you have any advice for me, please? i really don't want to do this anymore, but is it really that simple?

(i can't really tell anyone. i'm really ashamed of it)

I agree with everyone that you need to tell someone. I just wanted to add that since your dad heard you the last time, it gives you a door to open the conversation. You can say, hey, dad, you know when you heard me throwing up earlier, well, I need to talk to you about it. Please, talk to someone.

It sounds to me like you are developing bulimia. Bulimia is a serious eating disorder, it is when you binge and then make yourself throwup, just as you are describing. I understand how you are ashamed of what you are doing, but when someone has a problem like this, you can't go it alone, you need to get yourself some help. And quickly. There are SERIOUS consequences from eating disorders, they destroy your health and your body. I'm glad to hear that you no longer want to do this, however stopping isn't just that simple. If you can just make yourself stop, then stop. If you can't, you need to tell someone that can help you. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you have a school counselor, they can do a lot to help you, even if you are embarassed. I know that a lot of peole say that school counselors don't do anything, but they really do help. Even if you have a close friend that you can tell first, just to get comfortable with the idea of sharing what you are going through. Please get some help, and quickly!

Hon you need help. Go to your parents or a trusted adult. They will help you get some counseling. The first step is admitting you have a problem which you seem to have already done. Now you just need to take that step to get the help you need before it becomes worse. If you feel ashamed I’m sure there is a phone number you could call and get anonymous help. Either way in most likeliness you will have to talk with a counselor .

I'd like to congratulate you for admitting it. I think it's very courageous of you, and not anyone can do that. If you believe in dualism, you'll know that your mind has the control over your body. Your body might be telling you to binge, and then to throw up, just because you're so used to the routine, but your MIND has to convince you. If you REALLY think this is wrong, you know it's wrong, then you have to stop. Try to find a hobby to distract you, and remember to balance your meals. Find a support system, talk to a trusted friend. I wish you the best of luck, and remember, MIND OVER MATTER.

really, you should talk to God about it!!!! Whenever you feel the temptation, just think of God, and what he thinks when you do that. I have a really bad habit too, and when i'm tempted to do it, I always think that later, i feel so guilty about it, and it wasn't worth it, and i feel mad i did it. I try to make a record for how long i can go without doing it, and see how long i can go. you should try that. And when your feeling tempted, PRAY!!!!! I hope this helps you some!!!! And just remember i'm here for you, and i'm sure there's other people in your life that are always there for you!!!! Just please remember that!!!!
love,
your sis in Christ

No matter how ashamed, you are you can't just countine to do this. You need to tell your parents or a school offical. You need to have help to stop this. Countinuing won't help anyone all,all it will do is hurt you. Please tell someone, it's not healthy.

You need to tell a doctor.
Making yourself throwup over a long period of time can result in permanent consequences.

It's nothing to be ashamed about, it is a medical condition!
You HAVE TO tell someone...even if you tell the school nurse.
It's better to tell someone than to die!
NO JOKE...YOU CAN DIE FROM THIS!
You don't have to tell friends, relatives, etc...that's your choice.
BUT...TELL SOMEONE! YOU HAVE TO!

Email me if you need support...I'll even call someone for you!

Good luck!

Please don't do this, this can cause medical problems later
in the future, it can destroy the lining of your throat and
destroy the lining of your stomach.
You need to go to your parents or A close friend and talk
about this.
