Well said.
Lets hope the team is as dumb as their fans, it could turn into a route for OSU.

NO they weren't payd off, but if they were going to jump a team up to the game it should have been oklahoma, and then let the preseseasons 1 and 2 go at it, because i remember all preseason people argueing whos better between usc and lsu.
And I don't want to hear about how ohio state doesn't deserve to be there. LSU had 2 chances to be #1, and guess what, they blew it TWICE. It just so happens that ohio state sucked just a little less than everyone else. Hopefully people quit complaining and deal with the fact that this is an off year and every team had their chance to be #1 and #2 but blew it.

the media wanted LSU in this game in June.. and guess who gets the votes to put them there.. yup.. the Media.. I'm suprised USC didn't jump back up to #1 again as well.. it's disturbing really.. I could even point out all the way back to 04.. media wanted OU vs USC in June.. and that's what they got in the championship game.. even though Auburn was much better than OU in 04.. I can see a problem with a 2 loss SEC team in the big game.. but to deny an undefeated SEC team is rediculous.. but do I think the teams playing the game are the best out there? no I do not.. personally take away a bad game by UGa vs Tennessee and we see UGa play OSU instead.. because head to head I think Georgia would take LSU to the woodshed.. I really can't comment on OSU.. they've had 2 quality games.. one vs Michigan (win) who's down this year obviously after getting snuck by App St.. and Illinois (loss) who's having a really good year and get to go to the Rose Bowl..
and no I don't think OSU wins this game.. LSU has too much speed/depth/experience.. and they'll be healthy for this game as well (which they haven't been since early in the season)
and I am NOT a fan of any of the above ;)

The answer is yes in an indirect way. Tv execs care about ratings and with OhIo St. claiming the no. 1 spot they look around to see which opponent will garner the best ratings. The answer is LSU.

LSU has no need to pay off people to make it to the big game. They have had one hell of a season. Yes, they did lose 2 games, it took 6 overtimes to cause those 2 loses.
And as for LSU passing up Georgia. Georgia didn't play this weekend. Did you really think Georgia was going to moveup by having a off weekend. LSU won the SEC championship game. They deserved to jump in the polls.
& like someone else has already pointed out. Who do you think LSU is going to look past OSU for? The offseason? There is no more games after the National Championship.

no lsu did not pay off anybody to get into the national championship game. it makes sense for voters to put lsu over georgia because they play in the same conference, and lsu won the conference and georgia didnt even make it to the championship game. in my opinion, the only other team with a reasonable argument to make it to the national championship game other than lsu was virginia tech. oklahoma could present a mild case. but lsu won what was easily teh toughest conference in the us this year, and both their losses came in triple ot, so in my opinoin, they deserve a shot at the national championship despite losing as number 1 twice....maybe they can end the number 2 curse this year and have the number 2 team win the biggest game of the year.

Sure they did and I have Xerox copies of the canceled checks to prove it. A one dollar check was made out to WVU and Missouri and coaches that vote and the Harris voters. Sadly, the computers can't be bought. If you need proof you can send emails to me at ionlyanswerdumbassquestions@hotlips.com.
The phrase is "weigh in on this" not "way in on this" unless you happen to be one of the many idiots that thinks it's cool to use slang abbreviations instead of good English.

No they didn't pay anyone off... and who would LSU look past OSU too? They have no more games to play, they look past them to their pro careers?
