Me and my mother use my laptop on a daily basis only i know her e-mail password and we think that her husband is breaking into it somehow, no matter how many times she change her password someone still gets into it. Please Help!!

there is no way to tell,why not just change the password?

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to tell. But if you search the internet for these topics, you might find a way to strengthen your passwords.

What you want is to NOT use older password encryption - LM or LM hashed passwords. You want something like MD4 or MD5 encryption, which is controlled a registry entry. I don't have my reference books handy, but if you web search for "Password Encryption" you might find an article on how to make life tougher for users of password crackers.

Also, check the computer to see if the REAL problem is that there is an account defined on it that you didn't know about.

Also, if there is an "Owner" account, change ITS password.

Finally, make it a point to note very carefully when you and your mom log in. After a time when you think another break-in has occurred, use Event Viewer to see system events. Among them will be login events. If you and mom are careful about logging, you will see if there is any login that wasn't yours. If there is, you know someone is breaking in.
