If I'm buying a real tree, I put mine up about two weeks before Christmas. But we have an artificial tree now because we live in a condo that doesn't allow real trees. We put our tree together yesterday and tomorrow or the day after we'll put on our lights and decorations. I can't wait - the tree looks so great in our new place so it'll be exciting to get the lights and decorations up!

We ALWAYS do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. I don't know why or how this became a tradition with me and my husband but we've done it this way for 8 years now.
