I know, it's crazy. The guy has less than 20 apperances as a reliever and Yankee fans are calling this fatso the second coming. If that doesn't personify the desperation in NY, I don't know what would. Wait until they make him a starter and ML hitters get to see him a few times for a full start, he'll end up like Felix Hernandez in Seattle. Start out hot and then they figure him out. AAA isn't the big leagues and until you've done it there you ain't done anything.

JOBA or any other Yankee is not GOD...But the kid has alot of talent and can very well someday be a Yankee Great and a very dominate pitcher in MLB either as a Yankee or with another team...The kid is good very good!!! To some Yankee fans this past season he was viewed as a god send he was a key role in the Yankees making it to the post season

No, but Joba is just a household name in New York. They're capitalizing on his popularity, which came from his tremendous success with the Yankees in 2007.

That's fine, all you Yank's go ahead and applaud the corn-fed boy from Nebraska. I bet none of you even know he is a true Big Red Husker straight out of Lincoln and not some big city man of the hour. "Pass the corn Joba"

I don't think he or anyone else is a God. But the Joba man has the potential to be a great pitcher.

He hasn't been in New York long enough for the fans not to like him, he is still on his honeymoon.

I agree, it's kinda blasphemous, but he's a great pitcher. And New Yorkers think he will be an amazing pitcher, including me-A Yankees fan.
