We recently had a miscarriage and D&C (last week) and will be trying again as soon as we are emotionally and physically ready. I do have to wait till after my next period as per doctor's orders, but am just wondering if I should still be taking my prenatal vitamins? Even though we might not be ready for another month or two?

First of all, I would like to say that I am sorry that you had to go through that ordeal(i've been there). Secondly, I was told years ago before I was married that prenatal vitamins were the best vitamins for women. Third, since you know that you will be trying again soon, I would just stay on them. I'm still taking mine, and it's been about 6 months for us.

It never hurts to take prenatal vitamins, even if you aren't pregnant/breastfeeding or trying to concieve (they are just good for you because most people don't get all the vitamins they need). But it is especially important if you are any of the above. Also, I had a miscarriage and d&c in August, and my dr. didn't tell me to wait until after I had a period (maybe because we weren't really trying to get pregnant to begin with, it just happened), but even if he had it wouldn't have done much good. Due to a medication I take, I can't use hormonal birth control methods so we were using condoms and spermicide (same thing as when we got pregnant with the one we lost). Needless to say, one month after the miscarriage, our method failed... again, and now we are expecting twins (total shocker, cause neither of us have twins in our families). I think the main reason they tell you to wait (besides that some people aren't emotionally ready, also depends on how far along you were) is to date the pregnancy. So even if it does happen sooner than you expect, don't stress, because most women who have this happen end up with perfectly normal pregnancies. In fact, just in case something like this happens gives you even more reason to continue the prenatal vitamins.

The prenatals will have good amounts of Folic Acid, Iron, and Calcium. These help baby develop, which helps to prevent miscarriage. My mom had 7 miscarriages in 9 pregnancies. Her theory was that the two she had were the only ones God wanted her to have.

I asked my doc the same thing after my miscarriage. His opinion was that nobody gets the proper amount of nutrition on their own so it's a good idea to be taking a multivitamin anyway. I on the other hand have never taken them but given the circumstances of us TTC again I thought it wouldn't hurt. I started taking prenatals before we got prego again. So far so good. I don't think it would hurt for you to take them, especially if you are planning on TTC. Good luck!

Absolutely! Your recovering body needs those vitamins now more than ever. Folic acid should be taken BEFORE becoming pregnant in order to prevent many common birth defects. Sorry for your loss, but good luck with your future attempts!

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant herehttps://tr.im/gZXc4
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

Yes take the prenatals and take Expecta Lipil. Eat the foods you would eat if you where still pregnant and take no medication that you would not take if you where pregnant. I am sorry for your loss. I know how you feel.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I've been there. Yes, you can still take the pretnal vitamins. You should also take folic acids, they usually help you get pregnant and help prevent the birth defect.
