You spend so much time on an answer and you know it deserves to be the best, but then the asker chooses a 3 word answer as the best. Which probably doesn't even explain anything as in depth as you had described it.

It kind of irritates me. It's happened to me quite a few times, and I've seen it happen to so many people on Yahoo! Answers.

What do you think about it?

It seriously gets on my nerves. & it's usually because the "three word answerer" answered first, or you're answer isn't what they wanted to hear.... It's like, if you ask the question.... I'm going to tell you the truth, if it's what you want to hear or not. & at the same time, I'm not going to copy and paste something from another web site, or Dictionary.com... I'm going to tell you what I think... Give me some credit!

AHHH! Same here! High five!

I also HATE IT SOOO MUCH when I spend SO much time perfecting an answer and putting dedicated time into it, then the person doesn't log on for a while or is too lazy or ignorant to check the question. Then a random person who answered with three words goes and votes for themself, making them the best answer.

Gosh! People these days!

besides the reality that I empathize with you, AND besides the reality that i'm able to think of of a minimum of 50 different those that this could have handed off to instead of you, i visit purpose and learn from you. i visit make a decrease back-up account. it will be for the evil factor of me nonetheless, so forget relating to the terrible issues she blurts out. She isn't precisely, uhm, "ok" in case you recognize what I recommend...

I laugh! Because it's up to YOU, the asker, to pick the one answer you like the best. And maybe that few words answer is really funny, or strikes them in some way. So it's a roulette wheel don't you think? We like to just get our point of view out there anyway don't we??? ♥

It's irritating. Even when i usually pick questions to answer that i actually know the right answer!! Besides, most likely, who's going to have a good strong answer in only a few words?? Life just isn't fair i guess... :D

I guess just because some give longer, thought out answers doesn't necessarily mean that was what the asker was looking for. I do know what you mean though. I've noticed it, too. Like, the one I would pick wasn't the one the asker picked. And I'm like, why did they pick that one?

hate when that happens. Specially when you invested time in the answer. Or when they ask something like "Do you think ...?" and of course there is not right or wrong so they -should- pick the most thorough, but they only pick whoever they agreed with, even if their answer was only one sentence and not nearly as elaborate as your own. Hate that. It's sooo irritating.

When I answer a question I give a answer from my heart and or knowledge. I never even consider getting a best answer when I answer a question.

I feel disheartened when that happens.
But after a good night sleep - I get over it.

Life is too short to take Y!A seriously.
