Youth lasts for as long as a person feels young.

Have you ever noticed how kids, dogs and old people seem to have something in common? Besides being the most tolerant of our species [in general, there are always exceptions] they are also the ones who live in the most youthful mindset. So it's not how long does youth last but how long is the interim before you rediscover it?

Youth has to do with physical agility,
mental agility.
A young person can feel just as old as an older person simply by losing the physical agility due to to much weight.
Lack of education can lead to limited mental agility by not being aware of all the choices an education can open up for you.
Exercise can help one
Reading can help the other

Well as long as you want it too. Im 32 and still like to have fun with video games and board games and stuff. I also have a lot of responsibilities too. From a mental stand point I like to have fun like I'm still in my youth, so my answer is it varies.

It lasts as long as you can laugh out loud and find beauty in the simple things in life. Even my grandma demonstrated youthfulness through the way she approached life.

Don't fear things that you can't control. Enjoy the ride and make the best of it. Like it or not we are all going to grow up if we don't die first.
