I'm pretty sure this jives with being thirteen. I'm pretty sure that would have been just after I got my hands on Sap, Nevermind and Ten. I think the grunge movement had just barely taken over the classic rock radio phase. With that said:
1. Nirvana (though if it was 14 AIC would have been the choice for about the next 2-3 years)
2. Bleach
3. probably Even Flow, but it could have been Breed from Nevermind
4. No, like I said this was on the cusp of big changes. It could have very easily been all about the Doors and Zep or maybe Faith No More with a splash of Metallica. I think 13 would equal eigth grade and I was in total transition at that point.

1) What were my favorite band(s)?
The Beatles
The Beach Boys
Paul Revere and the Raiders
The Rolling Stones
Herman's Hermits
Bob Dylan
The Kinks
Q65
Dave Clark Five
The Byrds

I lived in Holland on and off through the early to late 60's.
While there I really got into what was referred to as 'Indorock'.
It was a genre of rock music played by Indonesian Dutch immigrants like 'The Tielman Brothers', who were the Dutch equivalent of Buddy Holly and the Crickets I suppose. Those guys could really rock!
FYI, Eddie Van Halens Mother was Indo-Dutch.
Cool Indorock site:

Catch Us If You Can (The Dave Clark Five)
