Why are the Democratic POTUS candidates reticent about the dangers of Islamist terrorism?

The death camps and the gulags of Hitler and Stalin proved that men were capable of infinite depravity, an inhumanity that we are now witnessing again in Islamist terrorism.

They live in a different reality. The Left would like to believe that the only bad thing in the World is Bush and electing a Democrat will fix everything.
There would rather ignore serious problems and insert ones they can blame on the Right.
We are in a Goldilocks economy and the Democrats are screaming about the overblown sub prime crisis and predicting inflation over and over until it becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.
Nobody in Washington seems concerned about our borders and they blame the illegal alien problem on people that want decent wages..
