Pearl Harbor is the name of the harbor/bay and the base located there (Naval Station Pearl Harbor). There is no city known as Pearl Harbor, but the name of the city located there is Pearl City. Hope that helps you.

Pearl Harbor is the site of a Naval base and serves as the home port for many surface vessels and submarines. No aircraft carriers are homeported there right now but there is some desire voiced by local officials to have a carrier there as well. The link below is to the web site of the Naval Station.
