I think we are all stars don't you?

When I saw the question, my first thought was about the glittery things in the sky, which I think are very important. Did you ever just lie down in a field on a summer night and watch for an hour or two?

As for the Hollywood-type of star, I enjoy a good movie with good acting, and there are some actors I make a point of seeing. But why would I care about their personal lives? Some people must have such dull lives that they live through these so-called "stars". I feel sorry for people in the public eye, who have every family problem and 5 pounds of weight gain on the front cover of some magazine. Leave them alone, and gaze at the stars in your own home and community. (And mirror)

You are right.... we are all stars! Since stars and thumbs up are free I love to give them away. Many times rather than repeating an answer given by someone else, I just give the answer a thumbs up. Sometimes I might not have an answer to the question, but if I think it's interesting I will give it a star.

I'm not certain if Stars give anyone extra points but I do know that if your answer is selected as "Best Answer" you receive 10 points plus the amount of "thumbs up" you have(up to 50 thumbs up).
I LOVE giving "thumbs up"!!!

I "Star" a question when I find it Interesting.

I think a star is a nice way to say we like the question. It doesn't buy anything, you can't put it on your Christmas tree, or your hat, but it's nice. I only give a star for a funny question or an interesting one.

Yes, we are all stars, good point!
I give stars here to questions I think are interesting and I might want to refer to later on or to ones I think others might be interested in. It shows people appreciate your question and that's nice to know.

It also lets your contacts know when you answer a good and interesting question, I have just recently realised that one as it shows up on your profile page that a contact has starred a question

i'm the brightest star there is. but i think most people are so fascinated by "stars" because their lives are so boring and pathetically sad. i never know what's going on with movie stars because i could care less about them.

well it is a simple math problem if you have 5 points you can ask a question -- if your question receives 5 stars you break even and you can ask another question!!! so to insure we have a lot of questions i pass out a lot of stars and you just won one!!! same way with thumbs up i give everyone because if they take the time to answer they deserve one!!!
