In brief, northern and southern Sudan are centers of two different ethicities. The genocide is that the Muslims who run the country as a whole think that the other part of the population should be eradicated. So they kicked them out of their ancestral lands. Called them "rebels" and turned them into political refugees.

Now a group called the Janjaweed militia is running around, raping ahd robbing the rebels. Nobody has the guts enough to come in and stop them, and the rebels haven't got enough weapons to do that, either.
