True intelligence is shown in my opinion through not how much one person talks but rather the material or conversation the person carries that can set them apart or make them cliche.I also believe that intelligent people do not always have to be silent or quist because in many cases in my classes the smartest people are the ones who actually ask questions to make sure they unserstand and comprehend the material, who can answer questions, who are in the Honor Program and who have never made anything below an 89.True intelligence can be defined or seem from many angles yet I see it as not operating quietly but rather expressing opinions part of the time and the rest listening.True intelligence is when a person knows how to apply what tehy have studied/learned to the given lectures and connect the dots rather making a game out of it to make sure that they understand all the points. If you have the power, knowledge, understanding, intelligence and are gifted why should one keep it to his or herself? My brother is smart,so is my boyfriend, sister and myself yet if you know something you answer the question to the best of your ability to show that you are smart or rather prepared for what the teacher has to throw your way in which in many cases in collge it impresses teachers.Intelligence deals with wisom, learning, application, understanding and explanation.

It can; however, true idiocy can also operate silently. How to tell them apart? Or is this yet another conundrum that must be pondered silently, the answer retained within, an insight that at once shows true understanding and the ability to let it go without attempting to vocalize it? Does this concept exist much as the Tao, which cannot be spoken of directly lest it vanish? You notice I'm just asking more questions?

well there is parting with knowledge for the benifit of others and then there is allowing others to learn for themselves which may seem like a contradiction but I believe there is a balance to be struck. If we ultimately know something to the extent that we can never learn any more about it is there then any point except for personal reasons, keeping it or indeed sharing it? or do we allow others to learn from our example? I think then, intelligence will operate more on how knowledge is passed onfor the good of others. Is that not why the message of christ was delivered in the way it was?

I do. It's instinctual and surfaces in decision making,
intellectual pursuits, understanding one's fellow man and
political and social issues. It operates automatically and
is silently powerful within oneself. I think that one is born
with certain abilities to understand the world around them
even without great educational input. We've seen it
many times in "self-made" persons without any advantages
at all. Along with that inate intelligence however, courage,
heart, momentum and vision also play a huge part in navigating the choppy waters of life. Go skating for

I know nothing about intelligence being true or false. I only know that an intelligent person judges the situation he is in with all faculties at his command and decides whether to keep his mouth shut or be vocal; to act or not. For sorting our thoughts we need to be silent--that can be momentary or prolonged over a period. Isn't it said 'fools rush in where angels fear to tread'? That's what intelligence is...

If it is True intelligence then it is a by product of two balanced truths, or facilities which initiate each other and dwell in harmony, given that each facility will respond to the moments that are suitable. Silence must be balanced by its opposite - speech, Stillness must be balanced by its opposite - movement.
This is the TRUE sign of Intelligence in the allegory of playing cards; knowing when to hold and when to fold. Intelligence is in applying what you know and especially how (which suffices ones wisdom and understanding). Not the measure of what you know. Those who know if they be Intelligent know when they ought and when it is better that they naught.
There is a time and place for everything.

There is a time to talk-A time to be silent- to master that,
I think is the art of wisdom, and wisdom I would think is
intelligence.

True intelligence operates honestly. Sometimes it's 'in your face', sometimes it's subtle.
