This afternoon I found an object that looks like a spark plug and a small pair of scissors in my daughter's room. I also found a pair of scissors that have long points on them. The spark plug thing looks like it has tobacco or something in it. Is my daughter smoking pot? I guess that explains why she doesn't have a job.

You should hear my mom's advice! i sneak out of my house at night to see some friends but i don't do pot, smoke, or drink. none of those. but yeah...my mom finds out. and how? she asks. Moms have some kinda instinct to whether they know if theyre daughter's lying or not. but the point is...my mom can find out anything i do, if she asks. either i tell the truth or lie, and she finds out. and i'm in bigger trouble. but she dosen't yell at me when she find i've snuck out.

Give your daughter a bit of privacy. Smoking pot is common in teens, at least here in Canada. I'm not sure what the spark plug is, but they sometimes use spark plugs to break glass windows in vehicles. Are you sure its not a crack pipe? If it is, then get in your daughter's face, lol

I can't think of anyhting a spark plug has to do with smoking weed, just talk to her I bet it is no big deal. And by the way your daughter doesn't have a job because she is lazy, it has nothing to do with reefer

Might be breaking pieces of ceramic off of the spark plug and using them to shatter windows.

She might be smoking pot, but to be fair you should ask her about it first. A lot of kids smoke marijuana. Explain to her your concerns, but if you still don't trust her, make her take a drug test. What does the stuff smell like? That will tell you.

If it looks like tobacco but ISNT tobacco then my guess is that she is probably smoking pot. Try looking at other symptoms such as red eyes, bad mood swings, sleepiness ,change in friends, lost interest in the things she once loved. Things like that.

talk to her in a calm, reasonable, gentle, casual manner. she'll hate it if you jump to conclusions and/or over react. trust me. im 14.

before you jump to conclusions mom, ask her. it may just be something innocent.
