if 4.0 mole of H2 rect how many moles of NH3 will be produced??

Yes! exactly 8/3

You simply take your balanced equation and multiply everything by 4/3 to get the coefficients that you need.

The stoichiometric ratio must remain constant.

1:3:2
a:4:x

4/3 = x/2

x = 8/3 or 2.666 moles
