well ...think about it in the long term benefit or loss for you....if he has no other transportation to work ..you might be winning the battle but losing the war...as he''l have no way to pay you back...look for some other leverage you can use to avoid handicapping you from paying you back....however IF you think there is NO WAY he's gonna pay you back the by all means cut your losses take the car and find a boyfriend that deserves your generosity

well i think that u are not at all a planned person the reason is that when ever u borrow any amount of money to anyone u got to see that persons repayable capacity and never ever let this kind of matter raise in lovers because that would not only effect u r relation but could make u strangers too because without money no one gives the BHAAV to us and how can u expect the person who could not repay his bike amount could get u a car instead and for this he has to get some more money as debt ahh too much realise it soon money and comfort when they come in life then man starts loosing many things instead be happy with him and what he has and sorry if u are hurt

Well, if it has not been 6 weeks yet, you should not take the car until that time is up. You should have known your boyfriend well enough before loaning him money. If he has not given you anything at all, take the car when the 6 weeks are up. If he is atleast trying, give him a little longer to pay you back.
In the future, money deals with friends & family are not a good idea.

No, you are not being selfish at all but you are a fool....I hope that you have something in writing....if the car is in his name, there's nothing you can do unless you go to court. give him something in writing explaining what you expect, such as a plan to pay, etc. explain that he must sign it within so many days (3), this should also be on this "contract to pay" and that if he doesn't you will take it as an unwillingness to repay you and begin court poceedings. you may lose the bf over this, but that will probably on one of the smartest things you've done so far.

See, first of all whenever u r lending anything, do not expect the return. From that point of view, always consider that u will be getting half of whatever u have lent.
The best thing is apart from your family members, do not lend anythink.

NO YOU ARE NOT BEING SELFISH. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH WANTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY BACK. YOU CAN ASK FOR THE CAR BUT IT MIGHT COST YOU YOUR FRIENDSHIP. BUT STILL IT'S YOUR MONEY. SO I SAY, TAKE THE CAR.

If the loan with which he paid for it is in your name, you own the car. Is the car officially in his name? Talk to a solicitor.
