You can shop at a corner store or something. Also MC Donald's has a dollar menu so you could find some nice things there to ea at and end up with at least a dollar or some change let after those three days. Give it a try.

If I had a box of cheap crackers and Ramon noodles, I could probably feed myself for 3 days, maybe 4.

Sure, but I won't be well fed. I can feed myself for 3 days on just $5 but I can't feed myself well on only $ 5.

ramen noodles and a trip to the Dollar Tree for a jug of water. College students across the world know this one.

Yes, I have experience as a poor college student. Ramen anyone? They're like 8 packs for $1.29.

A bag of 2.5 pounds potatoes costs $0.79.
A 300 gram sized minced meat pie costs $1.29.
5 limes costs $0.50.
A can of frozen juice from concentrate costs $0.29.
About 100 grams of skim milk powder costs $0.15.
An economy sized bottle of 2.5 litres of filtered water costs $0.99.
About 100 grams of thinly sliced cooked ham costs $0.44.
About 100 grams of thinly sliced mock chicken costs $0.40.
One white kaiser bun costs $0.15.
Total? $5.00 even, not very glamourous however that's the best I could come up with for just a $5.00 food budget that has to be stretched for 3 days.
These are American prices so hopefully that should help.

I'd just drink tap water since it's proved to be even healthier then bottled water.
I'd 2 meal packages at nofrills each for 2.10$
eat some of em then leave some left overs
