Boston College finished number 14 in the country, 2nd in the ACC with a 10-3 record and ends up with the Chump Bowl????
They get to play Michigan State. A team that finished 7-5 and not even ranked????
This is a pathetic system as BC should have gone to the Gator Bowl except for the fact that the system is based on popularity and not performanace....

Poolman: Yes, BC should have gone to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl or the Gator Bowl at least since they finished 2nd in the ACC. They were ranked 2nd in the nation at one point and have to play Michigan State in the Champs Bowl???
Maybe that is why you are just a poolman? You don't get it. If you read the pre-requisites to make these bowl games then BC finsihed 4th in the ACC.

Kevin: What do you know???? BC has the longest current win streak in Bowl History. You think a 7-5 Michigan State team can beat BC?????? BC will be pissed they are playing in this crappy Bowl game and will be ready to stomp their opponent...

i am so mad. BC was #2 in the nation at one point and started 8-0. matt ryan had an unbelievable heisman type season (i didn't say he should win it, i just said it was heisman type). the champs sports bowl is for the fourth best ACC team. that means that these idiots in charge of the BCS think that virginia and clemson are better than BC. BC beat clemson and beat virginia tech earlier on in the season and that was an away game. you're right. michigan state is a joke and BC is not. BC deserves to be in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (2nd best ACC team) or at least the Gator Bowl (3rd best ACC team), but the champs sports bowl?! it's all a popularity contest, and because BC fans don't travel very well. i hate the BCS. it is complete BS! GO EAGLES!!!

So what you're saying is the second place ACC should make a BCS bowl? I understand being a fan, but you are way off to think they should be in any other than a mid-major bowl.

Pretty much everyone but LSU and OSU got screwed. That is why college football is a joke and always will be. It's just a popularity contest. If I wanted that, I'd just watch Miss America. At least the contestants there are hot.
