replacing the word Christmas with "Holiday" is just going a bit overboard. No offense to my jewish friends out there. I mean come on is it really hurting anyone. We had out Christmas..oops should I say holiday part at work, and everyone was trying not to offend anyone, but let's face it. It's always been Christmas and will always be. I've seen Holiday trees in stead of Christmas trees, and even trying to ban Ho Ho Ho because it was seen as offensive to some women.

Honestly is this what we as a country have become. What do you think. Of course if you ask me I love this time of year. CHRISTMAS is my favorite holiday. Yes I am venting.....

We don't seem to be able to find the middle ground on anything anymore. Christmas is either referred to as Holiday or X mas....it has turned into one giant time of greed and self centered materialistic garbage.

We are so concerned about political correctness, but we are letting children have sex when they can hardly walk and chew gum at the same time. One school in New England is voting on or rather has voted to give out birth control to children of thirteen and fourteen although it is illegal for them to have sex at that age.

No body is willing to stand up and say that anything is wrong any more. I was brought up to wish people Merry Christmas and to believe the Jesus is the Reason for the Season, and if someone doesn't celebrate Christmas persay because they are not Christian, they will generally say that they don't celebrate and then they will say Happy Holidays.

Yes, I am venting too...it's just so frustrating. I watched a little boy pitch a fit in a store this past week screaming for an i pod, and his parents just acted as if everything was fine.

The adults are too afraid to be real parents and make the rules, they want to be buddies and best friends, and then the younger generations have no guidance nor clear path, and it just is horrible.

Massachusetts is talking about passing a no spanking law, and it will even be enforced inside the home and the parents will be in trouble. I am not talking about beating, I am talking about the one slap on the butt to get your attention type of spank. I had a few when I was growing up and quickly learned to never behave in that manner again.

If my Dad was alive he would be saying that we are going straight to h e double toothpicks in a handbasket.

Heaven and God help us all and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

It is going to far. I don't get upset when I see some place selling mahorahs (I may have spelled that wrong) or dredels (another word I may have spelled wrong).....The only reason we have to be so "PC" these days is because so many people want to get their undies in a bundle when other people do things differently than they do......The majority of America celebrates Christmas....I would never get upset if someone wished me a Happy Ramadan or Happy Hanukah....I wouldn't even politely correct them by saying "Oh, I'm not Jewish I don't celebrate Hanukah." I would say thank you and appreciate the sentiment. I am completely totally 100% on board with you. I get so excited about Christmas, it makes me sad to think what this holiday is going to be like 20 years from now.

Holiday trees? Now that's something new. Typically, Christmas trees are for Christmas, so calling them anything else is ridiculous. There's always going to be something people are going to find offensive. I think we all need to take a chill pill and enjoy the holidays.
