Time can never mend the careless whispers, of a good friend To the heart and mind, ignorance is kind
There's no comfort in the truth
Pain is all you'll find
Should've known better
I feel so unsure
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
As the music dies, something in your eyes
Calls to mind the silver screen
And all its sad good-byes
I'm never gonna dance again

Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend

I think time can mend sometimes ....... depending on what the careless whispers were about ..... some careless whispers are much more damaging to an individual then others are ..... time will help rebuild some trust back for the person ...... but, if these were very personal or important whipers, the realtionship is usually lost down the road ...... = )

Any kind of careless whispering can ruin friendships destroy relationships, destroy trust, break a person's heart and damage reputations etc even if it is from a good friend.Whether time can mend these things is up to the person who cause the problem to make amends and the capacity of the other to forgive and move on . Unfortunately some wounds are irreparable but will take eternity to mend.

Depends on what the "Careless Whispers" were & whether the good friend is truly that..."a good friend." Because sometimes there are things you just can't take back.
But, if the friendship is worth it, time & work will mend all things :o)
