How can you be ranked 7th nationally and not get invited to a BCS Bowl game? I don't understand. This is a huge slap in the face to Missouri and all Mizzou athletes and fans. Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

Stupid politics, and Money. Though how Kansas is gonna draw anymore viewers than Mizzou is a mystery. But remember...the BCS games have nothing to do with what is fair. First, they have specific contracts with specific conferences......Second, nothing in said contract says they have to pick the best in the conference. They can make changes based on who they think will bring in more viewers. Plus, with the Big 12 being represented already by OU, I'm kinda surprised that the Big 12 got another slot at all...but it should have been Mizzou, not Kansas.

I was surprised as well. I can not believe that Illinois and Kansas were picked ahead of Mizzou. The Bowl selection committee does not have any respect for Mizzou.

No. The only game their defensive showed up to the entire year was against KU. That was really the only game all year in which they've proven themselves.

No, because the only way to get into a BCS bowl is to get a conference tittle or 2nd in conference while first is in the National game.

kansas - 109th hardest schedule out of 119 teams
mizzou - i think it was like the 26th hardest schedule
mizzou beat kansas. so how the hell can these idiot voters and computers say that kansas is the better team! you're 100 % right!
