i can relate the word passion to ardent love, a powerful emotion or an extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire to someone or something. by that i can answer your question with a no. friendship can endure everything since love is its foundation, the acceptance and affirmation to someone. idk if i got it right, its a good question.

If you are talking in regards to a "casual" relationship,then yes.
It's difficult to just be friends with someone,when sex is involved.This is why it is better to not engage in casual relationships to begin with.
