one of my coworker got sent home because she was talking on the phone. Are boss was listening on the other end . i want to know if there is an law on listening in on a phone conversations

Yes, Florida is one of 12 states that do not recognize "One Party Consent".

That means all parties listening must be given permission to do so.

Despite wishful thinking you can pretty much be fired for any reason. There are a few reasons that you cant be fired like race or not giving sexual favors. But there is no list of legal reasons to be fired. Only a very short list of reasons you cant be fired. The phone was property of the company and the company can listen just like teekno said. Even though what was said had little to do with it most likely. Probably the fact your coworker was goofing off on company time.

Yeah, there is law, and it's on the side of the boss.

Things like phone lines, computers and email at work are the property of your employer, who has the right to monitor them.

So, there's no law against the company, or an agent of the company, from listening in on its own phone lines.

Just talking on the phone is not a terminable offense under the Labor Laws.
