Death effects everyone around you. Suicide effects everyone in a such a profound way, I hope you never experience what that feels like. Death by natural causes is difficult. But you can process that pain. Death by accidental causes takes you by surprise. You have to go through that before you can start healing from the actual loss. Death by one's own hand leaves the people you left behind with an empty void that never gets filled. Finding out someone you loved was in so much pain they chose to give up leaves you with so much guilt. I suppose suicide is selfish on both ends. Because the person who does it is selfish to do something they know will devestate the ones who love them. While those left behind feel sorry for themselves over the loss and the guilt they are faced with. Tommorrow is a new day. I dont know how old you are. But no matter how bleak the future looks, remember the past when something left you feeling the same. It will get better. Dont dwell on the negative. Focus on all the times you felt amazing. Strive to feel that again.

Yes suicide affects lots more people than just Mom and Dad. It hurts everyone that called you their friend, co-workers, others that just said hi to you. some take it as a real insult as a real friend will talk to you about problems. True there are those that won't care in fact that may claim that the world is a better place but it is not. There are many people that say they are your friend but how many would do anything for you? If you or someone you know needs a friend please have them chat with me. I am not a doctor or anyone with a sheep skin on their wall, I am just someone that cares.

Please talk to somebody you trust, a priest or friend or another adult. Suicide will haunt everyone whose live you have come in contact with. it will always be in their thoughts every time the victims name is brought up. " What could have I done" and most of all "WHY". Life is too precious to waste it. If you are considering this extreme choice, I beg you, email me at azdano@yahoo.com. It will get better. I know. I'm still here.

Think about it..you would be missed. How would you feel if your parent/friend committed suicide? You dont want to leave people behind like that. And if you are feeling bad.. then things do get better. Everyone goes through bad times. The best thing I have found is to talk about it. With a friend/parent/counsellor/phone counsellor... ;)

Of course it does. Not only family & friends are affected.
People for miles around will know about it.
Because of obituaries in newspapers & on the online news channels.
Like if someone who is still in school commits suicide, then they will have like, "damage control" in the school, with therapists on hand for anyone who wants to talk about it & such.

Of course... Your family and friends will be sad, obviously. Your schoolmates and/or coworkers will be affected - people are always affected by deaths at school or at work, especially if they knew the person. Anyone who knew you would suddenly find you gone... Do you think that wouldn't affect that even the tiniest bit?

yes. i think suicide is very selfish. it'll effect your parents, siblings, your friends. everybody at school, close or not close. people you knew very well, people you didn't know at all.
a boy from my math class commited suicide. i didn't know him very well at all, but that didn't matter. what matterd that a life was lost, and i felt horribly about it. i felt that maybe i couldv'e some how stoped him, even though i didn't know him very well.
my cousin tried to commit suicide. if she did, i don't know what i'd do. it would kill me to lose her.
so it dosn't matter if the person was close to you or not, suicide effects everyone.

it affects alot more people than you think it would. Your people close to you can become depressed and that affects people around them and it grows from there. That is just a SMALL example.
