PLEASE DON"T have it professionally finished.yet in case you should do iy your self bypass to an automobile body furnish shop and get a gallon of laquer thinner(tell them you want the inexpensive stuff or "wash thinner" and an excellent style of rags.also want some unmarried side razor blades.do away such as your door panels and peel the tint off with a razor blade now take a rag and moist it with thinner then wipe the glue on the window to soften it.Now take a razor blade and scrape as most of the glue off as you may then take your rag and moist it back and clean up the left over residue.once you imagine you've each and each of the glue off sparkling the glass with some wndex.I assure you there'll nonetheless be some glue there so take a sparkling rag moist it with the thinner and note sparkling the left overs, now sparkling with windex back.THis pastime is a huge mess and frustrating paintings intensive so imagine two times before entering into it.with slightly of success by ability of the time you do each and each of the side glass you'll have the carry close sufficient to be very careful once you do the lower back and windsheild no longer to drip thinner in each single position.also you'll wana placed on some heavy duty latex gloves...sturdy success

A razor blade scraper and a source of heat be it the sun or a hair dryer. Peel the film off at a 45 degree angle to help resisting tearing. If you have glue residue left you will need residue remover (any hardware store) or denatured alcohol. I usually soak the window without spilling (or tape off first) and then use the scraper again. Once you start getting the hang of it the job goes quickly.

I had dark tint on my front windows. When I went for inspection it failed due to the dark tint. So I had to peel it off. I had a lot of the tint adhesive left on my window so I went to Walmart and bought Tint-Off in the automotive department. Also, buy some straight razor blades to scrape window after you have sprayed on the Tint-Off. This will make it come off easy. I didn't think it would work but it did!! Please sure to use paper towels to wipe blade.

When I removed the tint from my Volkswagen I bought this spray product from Wal-Mart. It was blue and sold in the automotive section. It dissolves the adhesive and allows the tint to be scraped off quite easily. Just be sure to use it in a well ventilated area.

Ardex. It's a solvent used to dissolve pretty much any glue-like substance. Should be available at your local hardware store. And it wont effect anything else in your car. except maybe wax. It tends to eat away at that. But only a very little bit.
Try it. It works.

Be careful with the ammonia, very strong smell.
Steel wool, nah i dont think so!

You may also need a hair dryer to heat up the film if you live in a cold climate (winter) etc...
Be careful with the hair dryer near any plastic interior/exterior parts of the car since they could melt etc...
Take some time to review your method of attack and play it safe.

Give it a try.
