i think it's considered a condiment. it can be put on various things in order to improve or mask a taste.
and, it's damn good.

No. Just like you don't consider any other type of cheese to be a condiment, cream cheese isn't either: A condiment is a prepared food, often preserved or fermented, that is added in variable quantities, most often at the table, to the diner's taste.

No its not a condiment to me. Its a must-have on bagels. MUST HAVE. Cant eat bagels with out it.

It is a food. Condiments are usually spices, herbs, seasonings, "dressings (i.e. ketchup, mustard, dressing, mayo, etc).
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.
