im a wisconsin fan,but when LSU MAKES IT TO THE TITLE GAME somethings wrong.Mr.herbstreet that said miles was leaving lsu, dropped to his knees to tell everyone how good they are. They made it?Lsu lost 2 games late in the year.Other then pushovers they havent won a game by more then 7 points.Did we forget the game against Auburn win they could have kicked a FG for the win ,but didnt know what was going on & scored a TD on 4th down.IT SHOULD BE O.S.U /OKLAHOMA/GEORGIA/HAWAII.IM NOT SURE I OSU SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THIS.I can say this thou,as a fan id like to see Hawaii(undefeated) GO FOR IT.Did not fresno or boise st wax oklahoma in a bowl recently? BORING TITLE GAME/

I'm a big OSU fan myself, but in my opinion, one of the flaws in college football is not how many you lose, but when you lose. If you go 9 or 10 weeks into your season and you lose one game, you're basically done for the national championship. But if you're ranked high, lose at the beginning of the year, and win out, your chances are much higher to play in the game. Although Ohio St did lose their 11th game of the year, they didn't lose one game all year and were ranked #1 near the end of the year.

I'm happy as hell that Ohio St is playing in the national championship game, but I do not agree how teams get into the game. And here we go again, just like last year, what do we have 49 days in between OSU games. Why not create some type of 16, or 8 team playoff system. They can play on the December saturdays and there wouldn't be such a long period in between games.

And I still don't understand how LSU made it, another reason to have a tournament like basketball does. It doesn't have to be a lot of teams, but if I'm not mistaken, LSU was ranked about 8th of 9th before this weekend, and they made it with 2 losses ?

I think it was bad that Mizzou got shut out!!!! I know some people will bring up that they beat Illinois (Rose Bowl). But look at this: when they beat Illinois, they weren't ranked (they came from a 2-10 season b4 then), so that win didn't have much significance then. However, Illinois, beat a #21 (Penn State) #5 (Wisconsin), though they went through a few loses, they managed to get back in form for a few games to beat another ranked team (#1 OSU). They ended the season on a good note and had to wait 4 the dominoes to fall.

The only thing doubtful was the 3 losses or whether they should settle outside BCS to get ready in the future.

ok, here is the thing, the worst flaw out of the many in the bcs is this....how in the world can u only allow 2 teams out of the same conference. Missouri shouldve gotten a bid over Kansas, but lets look at this. Let's say the Pac 10 has USC, Oregon, and Ariz. St. ranked in the top 5. One of them wouldnt get to go to a bcs bowl even though they are ranked in the top 5. So what they are saying is that if your conference producing the best teams cant have more than 2, that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

I think its crap how they figure all the games out. Why is it fair that USC basically gets to sit at home for their bowl game, along with LSU. Georgia isnt far from NewOrleans and Hawaii is thousans of miles away. They should put more thought into the teams location into what bowl they get too. Each BCS bowl game is the same other than the Title Game.

The BCS relies upon upon a mix of polls and computing device decision elementary strategies to confirm relative team scores, and to slender the sector for 5 bowl video games. the ten communities chosen incorporate the convention champion from all the six BCS conferences plus 4 others ("at-super" possibilities). the right 2 communities play interior the BCS nationwide championship interest. interior the present BCS format, 4 bowl video games and the nationwide Championship interest are considered "BCS bowl video games." Missouri is the perfect example of why the BCS is a failure.

MU has wins over Illinois (Rose Bowl) and KU (Orange Bowl) yet gets no BCS game at all.

What a pathetic joke.
